+ ABOUT MARK
Diploma of Chiropractic (SCC)
Master of Chiropractic Science (Macquarie University)
Diploma of Osteopathy (SCO)
Master of Chiropractic Sports Science (Macquarie University)
Diplomate, American Board of Chiropractic Neurology (Carrick Institute USA)
As a teenager growing up in Canberra I was intending to study psychology as I was very interested in the brain and how thoughts and attitudes influenced health.
However, with school athletics, soccer and poor posture I injured my lower back. My mother took me to a practitioner of Chiropractic and Osteopathy. I was amazed at the speed of recovery. I walked in with pain and walked out without it. I also became aware of natural health care and healing.
Subsequently I studied to become a Chiropractor and Osteopath and have continued my education having completed a Master’s degree in Chiropractic Science, a Masters of Chiropractic Sports Science, and my Diplomate training in Chiropractic Neurological Rehabilitation.
This combination of degrees has allowed me to focus on the diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of many varied and difficult cases involving brain, spine and sporting injuries.
My greatest passion is helping people, especially children on how to take care of their spine and nervous system thereby minimising damage to their one and only spine and brain. I educate my patients on such things as posture, correct movement and lifting techniques, exercise, stretching, diet, meditation and brain rehabilitation advice (neuroplasticity) in order to maximise their health potential while minimising reliance on treatment.
